It identifies opportunities to earn yield across different blockchains and platforms, and is built to automatically move user deposits between pools based on updated data about risk and returns.
YO is structured like an index that tracks yield-generating opportunities. Users can deposit assets into “vaults,” which are grouped pools designed to spread deposits across different DeFi platforms. Each vault follows a target allocation, meaning the assets are distributed according to a planned mix. These allocations are updated regularly using risk and performance ratings from crypto platform Exponential. The protocol is designed to support transparency and user control. YO says that they do not take custody of user assets, and that decisions about which platforms to include are made with input from the community. Each vault shows a list of the underlying pools, helping users see where their assets are allocated. Security measures include a completed audit and a $10,000 bug bounty program, which invites developers to report potential issues. To get started, users connect a wallet, deposit supported assets, and let YO’s system handle asset movement across supported DeFi platforms.
YO is co-founded by Mehdi Lebbar and Driss Benamour, who are also the co-founders of Exponential. Mehdi’s background includes roles in strategy and operations across technology and finance. He previously worked at CloudKitchens in North America, led the launch of UberEats in London, and served as an Investment Analyst at the World Bank, contributing to projects in emerging markets. Driss has experience in product development and financial technology. He was Head of FinTech Products at Uber, where he focused on payments and financial tools for users across the platform. Earlier roles include product leadership positions at SmartBiz Loans and Zynga.
